Introducing

The problem this program addresses is a lack of "enthusiasm to conserve" on the part of electricity users. Ten years ago, the region developed about half the amount of conservation that was cost-effective. We then had to play "catch up" when supplies became tight and prices went out of control. The lesson is, "the more we reduce our demand for power, the more we insulate ourselves from the impacts of energy shortages and high prices," says Power Planning Council Chairman Larry Cassidy.

This program develops real incentives for consumers to conserve by using tried and true, web-based marketing tactics.
